Drain Cleaning

Jetting and Un-Blocking Drains at HouseWater involves the use of very high-pressure water jets to clear obstructions in drainage, sewer or food industry systems. We use the most advanced, highest quality equipment to unblock the problem. This includes High-pressure water jetting which clears blocked drains without the need for any abrasive or environmentally damaging chemicals. This method of drain cleaning is FAST, EFFECTIVE and offers SUPERB RESULTS. Water jetting can almost completely remove accumulated grease, detergents, dirt, and mineral deposits built up within drainage systems over many years without causing damage to your system.

High pressure water jetting is more effective than traditional rodding methods in breaking up the blockage debris and washing it clear of the pipe. The high-pressure water spray acts like a sharp knife and cuts the grease and debris off the walls of the pipe. The water used in the process itself creates a high water flow, which will flush the sediments down the line.

If what appears to be a blockage is not easily fixed our engineers can carry out a CCTV survey of your drains. A damaged drain may need accessing, repairing or replacing fast – we can deal with any challenge quickly and effectively.

Tips For Keeping Your Drains Clear

USE ENZYME CLEANERS ON YOUR DRAINS MONTHLY
The simplest thing you can do to keep your drains clear is to use a drain cleaner once a month. There are quite a few different cleaners available, but it is recommended that you use an enzyme cleaner instead of a chemical-based cleaner. Enzyme cleaners are better for your pipes, your health and the environment overall than the harsh chemicals that are frequently used in commercial cleaners.

KEEP TREES, BUSHES AND OTHER PLANTS AWAY FROM THE SEWER LINE
A common cause for clogged sewers comes from trees that are planted too close to the sewer line. Not only can the close proximity of these trees make maintenance difficult, but their roots can grow into the pipes, clogging them and even destroying them if the problem goes unchecked.

AVOID FLUSHING WIPES AND OTHER HYGIENE PRODUCTS DOWN THE TOILET
The only thing that should ever be flushed down the toilet aside from human waste is toilet paper. Sanitary napkins and other hygiene products can clog pipes and lead to more serious plumbing problems.

REPLACE OLD CLAY PIPES
Pipes tend to corrode over several years, so if you live in an older home with clay or lead pipes, consider having them replaced. This is much easier before there is a serious clog.

PERFORM A MAINTENANCE ROOTER CLEANING ONCE A YEAR
An annual rooter cleaning can help keep your sewer line clear of debris and anything else that could cause a serious clog. Depending on how old your pipes are or how many clogs you have had in the past, you may need to perform these rooter cleanings more often, but most homes will be fine with one cleaning a year.

* Use a suitable plunger to do the job.
If a suitable plunger is not used to plunge the toilet you could crack or break the actual toilet and have to replace it with a new one.

If these tips do not work it is very important not to overdo it, as you might damage the pipes even more. If you are in any way unsure please feel free to call us straight away as our specialists will be happy to help you out.

What Our Customers Say

I am writing to let you know what a positive experience I have had using ADC drains service. The lads were very efficient and professional. We needed to quickly find out what the problem was with our complex drainage system. They arrived within half an hour and had their camera set up in no time. They pinpointed the source of the problem and cleaned out the drains thoroughly which resolved the issue. I was impressed with the time they took to clean up and left the place as it was when they arrived.

CCTV DRAIN SURVEYS & INspections

CCTV inspections are often utilised in cases where it is obvious your drains are experiencing an issue, although it may not be visibly obvious where the location of the problem is originating. A CCTV inspection uses state of the art equipment to get to the source of the problem, allowing you to fully understand the extent of the problem.

These inspections are carried out using hi-tech cameras with pan, tilt that have the ability to reach and examine areas that otherwise would be difficult or even impossible to access. The images captured by the CCTV camera are then projected back on to a screen, where the operator has a chance to diagnose the problem and pinpoint the exact location of the problem.

Our fully trained team can use CCTV equipment to effectively and accurately locate and diagnose your drain problems. Afterwards we will issue you with a detailed CCTV survey that will clearly outline the findings of the inspection in a clear manner. If required, we can also provide repair of the drain issue.

  • Capable of inspecting 70mm – 1000mm diameter pipes.
  • Pan tilt head for full 360 view of pipe.
  • Reports are produced to WRc & IPPC standards.
  • Push rod camera capable of surveying ½” pipe.
  • Pipe tracing available.
  • Reports are provided in paper format with CCTV surveys on usb using latest WINCAN software.
